Project Overview

In 2016, Pacific Studio fabricated the first ever visitor center for the globally recognized Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center which introduces people to the groundbreaking work of the Hutch. Designed by Studio Matthews, the space gives visitors an insight into the behind the scenes work that goes into curing cancer. Visitors have an opportunity to share stories through a photo-booth/leave behind the experience that creates a moving display. A video selection lets visitors dig deeper into personal stories. Lit suspended display cases pull visitors into the space with the Hutch’s guiding message “Cures Start Here”.
