Project Overview
Perched on the rim of Glen Canyon, Carl Hayden Visitor Center offers its audiences the opportunity to learn about the environmental, recreational, cultural, historic, and economic stories of the remote and industrious Glen Canyon Dam and National Recreation Area. Pacific Studio, in collaboration with the design firm Aldrich Pears Associates and a Committee of Bureau of Reclamation and National Park Service stakeholders, provided a complete reimagining of the visitor center’s interpretive and interactive exhibits. Pacific Studio oversaw the design process, developed comprehensive build drawings, and applied the talents of its master craftspeople to deliver exhibits that will be enjoyed by an audience of almost one million visitors per year for generations to come.
